Siam Obregón is a Mexican independent filmmaker and visual artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. She holds a BFA with a Specialization in Film Production from Concordia University. Her films delve into themes of observation, intimacy, and cultural identity, and have been presented at festivals like HotDocs, Festival International du Film sur l'Art (FIFA), REGARD, and the Rhode Island Film Fest.
Beyond cinema, she works as a visual and art director for multidisciplinary performances. She collaborates closely with the company Vías, contributing to works such as Flesh and Sound (Montréal, arts interculturels (MAI), 2023), Nuit devient jour (LABdiff, Tangente, 2024), and Tout ce qui reste, set to premiere at the Salle Bourgie in 2026 as part of Danse Danse’s programming.
